THANKSGIVING...
This is one of my favorite holidays (besides my birthday...lol). This Thanksgiving I was blessed to spend the week with the beautiful Hislop family. Many of you know my friend Beth Hislop, well this is her family. They are a huge blessing to me and have totally opened their arms to me as a pseudo daughter and sister. This means I am the oldest. YES. haha. They represent what the Lord's intention for family was more than most families. They have definitely opened my eyes wider to see what family in Christ is all about. I love when people ruin me for the Lord's ways and don't even know it.
We had an awesome time with each other this week. We played tons of games, music, watched movies, had discussions about the rapture (Mr. Hislop is a whiz at this subject) and ate...alot thanks to the ladies of the house. I am truly blessed by this family. They are full of the Spirit and the fruits that follow in the goodness of love. Thank you for loving me this holiday season and always. I love you each so much. More than words can really explain.
I'll be home for Christmas...
Now I am getting ready to go home to my folks house for Christmas break. I am so excited about going home to see my mom and dad. I miss them so much. It will be a good time of loving on them and drawing closer to the Lord in a time of solitude at home since it will be just us three (and the pups). A whole month home with my mom and dad alone is like heaven on earth. It will also be great because my sister Kerri and her family and then my sister Kacey will be coming home for a visit. I can't wait to see them either. I am a bit sad because my sister Krystal and her kids will not be able to come home. They are a joy in my life. I love these season in the year because we get the chance to gather as family and love on one another apart form differences and beliefs. To be with family this is what I love and miss in my life.
